Factual Account
- On September 9, 2025, I arranged to purchase an iPad Pro M4 13" 512 GB and a Magic Keyboard. We met on RIT's campus to complete the transaction.
- I initially sent $1,000 via Zelle, reaching my daily limit. I then attempted to send an additional $400 through Zelle — it was deducted from my account and shown as processing.
- Because the payment was not yet completed, I was asked to send $400 via Cash App to complete the deal, which I did. The product was provided same day.
- On September 11, 2025, the original $400 Zelle payment completed, meaning I had effectively sent $800 total for the remaining balance.
- I immediately contacted him, sent a Zelle request for $400, and followed up several times requesting a refund. As of today, no payment has been returned.
- I had previously purchased an iPhone from this business without issue, which is why I trusted that the duplicate payment would be resolved quickly.
